Head Over Wheels and VAINVER in Motion come together for a roller disco that brings music, movement and fashion into one space.

After transforming The Social Hub into a roller disco, Head Over Wheels continues its series, taking over the iconic De Krachtcentrale for a new edition in collaboration with VAINVER.

 

We transform this industrial landmark into a full roller disco experience, where music, movement and fashion come together on the floor. Our aim is to bring roller discos back as a cultural space that feels current, inclusive and community-driven, while activating unique venues across Amsterdam and the Netherlands.

 

Each edition activates a unique venue and connects different audiences through a shared experience on wheels. This edition also marks the first VAINVER in Motion, a concept by VAINVER exploring the intersection of fashion, movement and music. The collaboration brings together two female-led initiatives, combining creative direction, community and production.​​​​

19:00 – 20:30 — Workshop with Johnny Montero (Intermediate / Advanced)

20:30 – 23:30 — Roller Disco with music by BABAYLAN and Princess Vineyard

​🛼 Johnny Montero

​

With over 15 years of dance and skate experience, Johnny Montero blends different dance styles from Hip-Hop and Breaking to House, Salsa and Afro into rollerskating to create a unique way of moving and connecting to your body. Musicality, technique and body transfers will be the main focus in this workshop​​​​​

Venue

Set inside a former 1938 power plant, De Krachtcentrale is a striking industrial venue with high ceilings, large window sections and raw materials like concrete, steel and glass. Today, it has evolved into a creative hub and event space with international allure, bringing together different disciplines and audiences under one roof.

 

The venue also hosts a well-known café-restaurant, offering food and drinks throughout the evening. Expect a selection of freshly prepared dishes with French-Mediterranean influences, alongside a full bar service.

*Roller disco tickets do not include skate rental. Skates must be booked in advance. No rentals available at the venue without a prior booking.
